Jiu-Jitsu is an ancient martial art native to India. Later it spread to China and in Japan with the name of jiu-jitsu “art of pliability”. After, it came to Brazil where the brothers Carlos and Hélio Gracie studied and transformed it into Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ). It is a discipline that, through projections, levers and strangulations, uses body mechanics to allow domination of a stronger and heavier competitor.
WHICH ARE THE BENEFITS?

HOW DOES A Jiu-jitsu LESSON WORK?
Jiu-Jitsu classes at East Side Gym last between 60 and 90 minutes and include a warmup, technical exercises and a sparring or drill session (predefined actions). At our Vicenza Academy it is possible to practice daily. Classes have different experience levels based on different abilities. Jiu-Jitsu Vicenza also offers classes for kids: Play Jiu-Jitsu for kids aged from 4 to 8 Kids Jiu-Jitsu for kids aged from 9 to 13 The adult’s classes are divided in basic, intermediate, advanced, classes without kimono, personal defense, female self-defense and agonists.
